Sole to Soul --- Via Francigena Walk Blog 1 --- August 29, 2019 --- Ottawa Countdown minus one

I have never had this concern a day before I leave. The four blisters, two each on the bottom of the feet, create discomfort that is not a good feeling and a psychological barrier from achieving my goal of walking from Lausanne in Switzerland to Rome of Italy. It takes painful time to look at them and to look after them. But that is life, to focus on things that will make you happy and well, again. I so wish that Anjulia would be walking with me on this Via Francigena, but now it is my way of remembering her and to raise fund for her beloved volunteering group “Let’s Talk Science” of the University of Ottawa http://outreach.letstalkscience.ca/ottawa.html. More than that, I hope my two daughters will feel more comforting knowing Dad would be fine without Mom when I reach the Eternal City. It is a daunting task to prepare for this trekking as everything seems so difficult and time consuming. It is the little things that pop up here and there reminding me what is important and what
